La Posada at Pusch Ridge, a brand-new luxury continuous care retirement community in Oro Valley, AZ, is looking for experienced Cooks Salad Prep to join our dynamic culinary team!

These are full-time positions, but flexibility is essential - shifts and days will vary based on operational needs. 

In this role, you will work under the guidance of our Sous Chef, preparing fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented salads and cold dishes. You will ensure that every meal meets the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare fresh salads, dressings, and other cold food items based on daily menus and production charts.
  • Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, prepared, and presented according to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment used in food preparation.
  • Keep work and storage areas clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Assist in setting up for special events and catering functions.
  • Follow standardized recipes and preparation guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and records in accordance with Dining Service procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service events as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting as a Cook Salad Prep or similar role.
  • ServSafe food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding service.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
