Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities and Grounds, to oversee and direct the landscape staff in a variety of tasks which include the care, maintenance and installation of landscaping and landscaping throughout campus.
LMA- Lead, Manage and hold team Accountable.
Effectively train and retain field staff.
Oversee and manages all operations in the landscape department while operating within budgetary expectations.
Plans work schedules for landscape staff to include: mowing, trimming, weeding and irrigation repairs for entire campus.
Continually informs and updates the Director of Facilities and Grounds as to job progress on accounts or lack thereof.
Participate in creating Landscape Department budget.
Ensures that all safety procedures are followed. Report and document all incidents of any unsafe conditions and treat with a high sense of urgency. Take action on all workers’ compensation insurance claims immediately.
Ability to manage multiple projects throughout the whole campus simultaneously.
Conducts regular site inspections and assesses landscape conditions.
Maintains positive Resident relations through project efficiency, problem-solving and fulfillment.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
Oversee staff recruitment, selection, promotion and advancement.
Performs yearly staff evaluations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Prefer an Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent experience (preferably in Landscaping)
Preferred: Certified in CPR and First Aid.
Preferred: Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) and a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT).
Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in management in the landscape maintenance field.
Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Proficient in the use of a computer and programs including MS Word and MS Excel.
Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
