Essential Functions
- Responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of resident wellness programs and services.
- Leads and directly supervises assigned team members of our wellness program, incorporating the tenets of excellent customer service.
- Uses tools to monitor resident wellness outcomes to measure and monitor team health and well-being improvement.
- Identifies, develops, and implements a broad, well-rounded health, fitness, and wellness program that coordinates with the overall strategy and goals of the organization set by the senior team that stretches across a continuum of needs and programs.
- Collaborates with program directors to address ongoing fitness and advance the understanding of wellness and well-being to internal customers (both residents and employees).
- Ensures a focus on social, physical, spiritual, nutritional, emotional, vocational, and intellectual well-being. Promotes programs that are tailored to individual needs as well as services that can be deployed to larger groups of persons where appropriate.
- Develops outcome measurement tools and reports tied to resident wellness programming. Collects and communicates data regarding staff participation in some of the dimensions of wellness provided for employees.
- Utilizes data to continuously improve programs and to identify areas for future improvement/ growth.
- Provides one-on-one coaching, or in group sessions for residents and employees.
- Conducts or facilitates educational/training sessions or seminars on wellness.
- Acts as the liaison with the vendors providing technology for wellness programs.
- Prepares and implements budgets and strategic, operational, purchasing, or maintenance plans.
- Recommends or approves new program or service offerings to promote health and wellness activities which are cost effective and applicable to a wide breadth of participants.
- Responds to requests from residents, officers, management, employees, and other participants for information about wellness programs or services.
- Selects and supervise contractors: such as event hosts or health, fitness, and wellness practitioners.
- Conducts surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, health and wellness and fitness programs, events, or services. Provides input and ideas to senior management regarding wellness on employee, resident, and customer surveys.
- Collaborates with marketing to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in health and wellness programs.
- Develop and maintain the overall calendar for all health and wellness programs and activities for staff.
- Communicates effectively and proactively with senior management to facilitate participation and engagement of residents and staff in La Posada’s health and wellness initiatives.

Skills and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field.
- Experience: 5 year’s related, progressive experience; demonstrated expertise in developing wellness and fitness programs.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data and information to manage assigned resources.
- Certificates & Licenses: First Aid, CPR/AED and National Fitness certification.
