Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities Maintenance, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the maintenance department, including building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, remodeling projects, and work order management. This role supervises maintenance staff, coordinates department activities, and ensures high-quality service throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support maintenance team operations and scheduling
- Manage work orders, prioritize requests, and coordinate emergency repairs
- Oversee building systems maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance staff performance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, residents, and leadership teams
- Monitor inventory, supplies, budgets, and maintenance records
- Assist with remodeling and facility improvement projects
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and operational standards
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience, preferably in senior living, hospitality, commercial, or institutional environments
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance systems
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of OSHA and applicable building/construction regulations
