Remodel Housekeeper - Full Time
Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the EVS Director, carries out a range of cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness and orderliness throughout various areas of La Posada. Demonstrates ability to respond to residents, clients, customers, and the public with courtesy and pleasantness, offering assistance as needed.
Essential Functions
- Performs routine and specialized cleaning to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment that meets La Posada’s defined standards in any assigned areas of responsibility which may include, but not be limited to renovated/remodeled residences and garages.
- Takes appropriate and approved actions to correct areas of responsibility when it is determined the area is not up to defined standards
- All cleaning must meet health and La Posada defined standards
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of La Posada and its Remodel and Environmental Services Departments
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and/or scrubs floors using brooms, mops, or automatic floor equipment
- Utilizes only La Posada approved and provided cleaning agents, chemicals, equipment and supplies according to approved procedures
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to provide excellent customer service to residents, clients, customers, staff and the public
Post-Construction/Renovations
- Perform post-remodel cleaning to remove construction dust, debris, and residue from all surfaces
- Remove drywall dust, sawdust, grout haze, paint splatter, adhesive residue, and caulking residue from floors, walls, fixtures and cabinetry
- Clean newly installed fixtures, appliances, cabinets, counter tops, and hardware according to manufacturer guidelines and department procedures
Detail and Deep Cleaning
- Complete top-to-bottom deep cleans of vacant apartments or homes to prepare for resident move-in
- Clean interior and exterior windows, tracks, frames, and screens
- Detail clean baseboards, door frames, vents, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and trim
- Perform detailed kitchen and bathroom sanitation, including inside cabinets, drawers, closets, and appliances
Exterior Building Maintenance Support
Supports overall community presentation by performing exterior cleaning of buildings utilizing high-powered vacuum systems and dust-removal equipment. Proactively identifies and removes dirt, debris, cobwebs, and other environmental buildup to ensure exterior spaces remain clean, well-maintained, and aligned with established safety and appearance standards.
Floor Care & Surface Protection
- Clean and protect newly installed or refinished flooring, including: Vinyl plank, tile, laminate, and carpet
- Perform appropriate floor care such as: damp mopping, spot removal, and floor scrubbing with automatic machines as needed
- Safe removal of construction residue without damaging finishes or surfaces
Chemical & Equipment Use
- Select and use appropriate cleaning chemicals for post-construction cleans
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as: HEPA vacuums, automatic floor machines, scrapers, and detailing tools
- Follow all Personal Protective Equipment guidelines and refer to SDS when necessary
Quality Control & Readiness
- Inspect units to ensure they meet "move-in" readiness standards
- Identify and report maintenance concerns such as: Scratches, paint defects, loose fixtures, or damaged surfaces
- Utilize department checklists to ensure residence is ready for occupants
Collaboration & Workflow
- Coordinate cleaning schedules with the remodel team members and supervisor as well as the EVS supervisors and department director
- Adjust cleaning priorities based on project timelines and move-in deadlines
- Maintain flexibility to handle urgent turnovers or last-minute readiness needs
Safety & Compliance
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment during and after cleaning
• Use ladders, tools, and equipment safely and appropriately
• Follow all organizational safety, infection prevention, and environmental services standards
Documentation & Communication
• Document completion of turnover cleans as required
• Communicate progress, delays, or concerns clearly with supervisors
• Maintain supply inventory and request materials as needed
This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently.
Other Duties
- Participates in other duties, as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time, which you are qualified for and can reasonably be expected to complete with minimal orientation
- Keeps Environmental Services closets and housekeeping carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Maintain age-specific safety precautions, including: •Elderly – No small or sharp objects or tools that may injure residents or visitors will be left out. Cleaning carts will not be left unattended. Keeps hallways and pathways clear of debris, cleaning equipment, and tools. Environmental Service closets
will remain locked at all times.

Skills and Abilities
Experience: 1 plus years of experience preferred
Other Requirements: Must successfully complete the required training program within the defined probationary period. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Basic math skills required. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
