Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position will oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable team. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end AP process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments, maintaining vendors, and supporting the month-end close process.
Essential Functions
- Supervise, mentor, and lead the AP specialist, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Monitor daily operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor account reconciliation.
- Ensure all AP transactions comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Administrator of corporate credit card program: manage employee card issuance, monitor card usage, and reconcile credit card statements.
- Administer the employee expense reporting process platform.
- Manage the 1099 process, including vendor classification, W-9 collection, data review, year-end filing, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure timely communication with vendors regarding payments and queries.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce errors.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Generate and analyze AP reports to provide insights.

Skills and Abilities
Education: College degree or AA desired or 3+ years relevant work experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of and mastery of a variety of computer software, including data management/accounting, MS Office, MS Excel, and NetSuite Accounting System.
