As a corporate officer, the successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at one of the highest levels of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers. This leader will be hands-on with the team as well as residents.

  • Can be relied upon to be diplomatic, tactful, honest, and discrete in communications with others in the workplace. Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, board members, and others in the public as well as co-workers. 
  • Assures that the organization provides high quality programs and services to meet customer expectations, maintain high satisfaction, and achieve long term financial goals. Promptly and effectively addresses concerns and resolves issues. 
  • Provides leadership to assigned department heads, managers, supervisors, and staff. Establishes and communicates clear performance standards to maintain high resident and employee satisfaction. 
  • Monitors and analyzes operations to evaluate performance of operations and staff in meeting key goals and objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, improve productivity and program improvement, and change policies when necessary.
  • Prepare annual operational budgets for approval, including capital requests and implementation of new programs and services. Assists in the development and implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, and other administrative control processes.
  • Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organizational entities.
  • Able to prepare operational reports for Board meetings and to respond to relevant questions.
  • Prepare and present reports and corresponding recommendations for changes and improvements concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting business or program services.
  • Implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems.
  • Deliver speeches, write articles, and present information at meetings or conventions to promote services, exchange ideas, and accomplish objectives.
  • Is knowledgeable about laws and regulations relating to senior living in Arizona and assures compliance in operational areas of responsibility. Review and analyze legislation, laws, and public policy, and recommend changes to promote and support interests of both the general population and special groups. 

Preferred qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university); Prefer advanced degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing, gerontology, or related area.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive related experience in upper level management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Financial and business acumen.
