Looking for a full time experienced Sous Chef, committed to providing excellent customer service, to join our staff and help lead our culinary team. Under direct supervision of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food related functions. Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports. Previous experience supervising a kitchen is preferred.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years professional cooking experience to include basic knife skills, soups, sauces, pastas, meat production, grilling as well as volume food/batch cooking production and some catering experience. Preference for professional training or education. Must have excellent communication skills to be able to effectively communication with staff and residents. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
